United States FDA Regulations
  • 21 CFR Section 177.2600: "Rubber articles intended for repeated use".
European Union Food Regulations
  • This product can be used in compliance with French Arrêté of 25 November 1992 on silicone elastomers intended to come into contact with foodstuffs (Arrêté Ministériel du 25 novembre 1992 relatif aux matériaux et objets en élastomères de silicone mis ou destinés à être mis au contact des denrées, produits et boissons alimentaires). Silicone elastomers should be processed as recommended by Dow Corning.
  • This product can be used in compliance with German BfR Recommendation XV on Silicone for food contact (BfR-Empfehlungen XV zu Silicone). Silicone resins and elastomers should be processed as recommended by Dow Corning.
  • This product can be used in compliance with German BfR Recommendation XXXVI on paper and board for food contact (BfR-Empfehlungen XXXVI zu Papiere, Kartons und Pappen für den Lebensmittelkontakt). This Recommendation is valid for paper or paperboard which are intended to be used at temperatures up to 90 °C (holding and reheating of food).
  • This product can be used in compliance with German BfR Recommendation XXXVI/2 on Paper and Paperboard for Baking Purposes (BfR-Empfehlungen XXXVI/2 zu Papiere, Kartons und Pappen für Backzwecke).
  • This product can NOT be used in compliance with Swiss Ordinance of the FDHA on Materials and Articles (RS 817.023.21) of 23 November 2005, Section 8a on Silicone materials and articles.
  • > None of the substances present in this product is currently subject to Specific Migration Limit and/or Restrictions and Specifications
  • This product can NOT be used in compliance with Decreto Ministeriale del 21/03/1973 on the hygiene of materials and articles intended to come into contact with food (Decreto Ministeriale del 21/03/1973, Disciplina igienica degli imballaggi, recipienti, utensili, destinati a venire in contatto con le sostanze alimentari o con sostanze d'uso personale).
  • Silicone rubbers, coatings, printing inks and adhesives are not covered by Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 of 14 January 2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, but can be used under the condition that the finished food contact article meets the following requirements:
  • Dow Corning product ranges do not constitute “Materials or Articles” as they should be understood under the terms of Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006. Instead they are considered “Starting Materials”. However this product is produced according to our quality management systems, and certified under ISO 9001 Standard.   • Compliance with the general requirements laid down in Framework Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 of 27 October 2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, remains the responsibility of both the manufacturer of finished food contact mate rials or articles as well as the industrial food packer. This Regulatory Information Sheet should be considered solely as supporting information for such 'manufacturers/food packers’ compliance assessment.
