United States FDA Regulations
  • 21 CFR Section 176.210: "Defoaming agents used in the manufacture of paper and paperboard".
European Union Food Regulations
  • This product can be used in compliance with German BfR Recommendation XV on Silicone for food contact (BfR-Empfehlungen XV zu Silicone). Silicone resins and elastomers should be processed as recommended by Dow Corning.
  • This product can be used in compliance with German BfR Recommendation XXXVI on paper and board for food contact (BfR-Empfehlungen XXXVI zu Papiere, Kartons und Pappen für den Lebensmittelkontakt). This Recommendation is valid for paper or paperboard which are intended to be used at temperatures up to 90 °C (holding and reheating of food).
  • This product can be used in compliance with German BfR Recommendation XXXVI/2 on Paper and Paperboard for Baking Purposes (BfR-Empfehlungen XXXVI/2 zu Papiere, Kartons und Pappen für Backzwecke).
  • This product can be used in compliance with Resolution ResAP (2002) 1 on Paper and Board materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs (Adopted by the Committee of Ministers on 18 September 2002 at the 808th meeting of the Minister’s Deputies).
  • This product can be used in compliance with Swiss Ordinance of the FDHA on Materials and Articles (RS 817.023.21) of 23 November 2005, Section 8b on Packaging Inks. All substances present in this product are listed on Annex 6 Part A or Part B.
  • - Coordination compounds of platinum should not exceed 50 mg/kg (Pt) in the finished material or article.
  • - FCM 575: when present in this product, restriction/specification is met
  • > None of the substances present in this product is currently subject to specification or restriction
  • Silicone rubbers, coatings, printing inks and adhesives are not covered by Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 of 14 January 2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, but can be used under the condition that the finished food contact article meets the following requirements:

  • Dow Corning product ranges do not constitute “Materials or Articles” as they should be understood under the terms of Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006. Instead they are considered “Starting Materials”. However this product is produced according to our quality management systems, and certified under ISO 9001 Standard.   • Compliance with the general requirements laid down in Framework Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 of 27 October 2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, remains the responsibility of both the manufacturer of finished food contact mate rials or articles as well as the industrial food packer. This Regulatory Information Sheet should be considered solely as supporting information for such 'manufacturers/food packers’ compliance assessment.
